The goal of general dentistry is to remove all disease from your mouth and repair broken down teeth, giving you the freedom to enjoy one of life’s favorite pleasures — eating your favorite foods! Although some disease may be painful, like a cavity in your tooth, “gum disease” is usually not painful and can lead to unexpected loss of yimage_php-width=139&height=83&image=_pictures_banner_NNpUAEndSZ_jpgour teeth. Through regular checkups, dental hygiene, removal of dental decay, and showing your proper home health care, we can eliminate disease from your mouth to help you keep your teeth and gums healthy for life.

At The Accolade Dental Centre we strive to provide excellent care to all our patients. At our office, we take an individualized approach to oral hygiene to address our patients’ specific needs, all while maintaining an inviting, soothing and relaxing atmosphere.

Whether you’re due for your general hygiene or are experiencing tooth pain, we’ll address all your concerns and needs in a relaxed environment while taking the time to answer any questions you have.

Preventive Dentistry and Oral Hygiene at the Accolade Dental Centre

In general, preventive dentistry includes dental-related procedures and treatments that are designed to prevent serious oral health problems from developing in the future. And while we all know that prevention really starts at home, there are a good many preventive procedures and treatments available at the dentist’s office. At the Accolade Dental Centre, our team of hygiene professionals plays an essential role in every patient’s oral health and general well being.

Root Canal

Root canals are needed due to: deep cavities or caries, repeated dental procedures, cracks in the tooth or an injury occurs. In order to diagnose the patient and prescribe a root canal a dental x-ray is needed. A root canal is called for when the inside of the tooth, known as the pulp, develops inflammation or disease. The pulp of the tooth is very sensitive as it contains the blood vessels, nerves, and connective tissue. An endodontist extracts the infected pulp from a tooth, cleans it and then seals it up.
