Dental Technology in Yorkville Toronto
At The Accolade Dental Centre in Yorkville, our goal is to make each patient's visit to our dental office as pleasant and efficient as possible - the range of tools and technology our clinic is equipped with helps us to achieve that goal.
Digital & Panoramic
X-rays are an important tool in diagnosing oral health issues and in monitoring any changes to your overall health. Digital X-rays have less radiation than traditional X-rays and can be viewed in our treatment rooms. Panoramic X-rays take a 360 degree images of your mouth – showing an excellent overview of your teeth, joints, jaw and sinuses.
The Veloscope emits a special blue light that highlights a variety of oral abnormalities, including oral cancer lesions, often before these issues are visible to the naked eye.
One Day Restorations
The CEREC dental technology was developed to complete procedures like crowns and veneers in one appointment, instead of multiple appointments as in traditional treatment. The technology allows our dentists to make and install a ceramic restoration in one visit.
Dental Cone Beam Computed Tomography
CBCT (or Dental Cone Beam Computed Tomography) is a specialized X-ray technology that provides a 3D view of your teeth, facial bones, nerve passageways and soft tissue. It is especially useful for diagnosis and developing treatment plans for diseases or pathologies in the bones. It is used when conventional X-rays are not sufficient.
To Help Speed Recovery
Laser dentistry can be used to help improve outcomes, reduce pain and shorten healing times for a variety of oral procedures, particularly soft tissue surgeries like gum grafting.
Digital impressions reduce the need for traditional impressions that many consider to be messy or unpleasant. The Itero Scanner or Iteroscope creates extremely detailed digital dental impressions of your mouth, teeth and bite to help with your treatment.
